ABOUT US

How it all started
The Storehouse Project started with the Peret Food Pantry, founded in 2000 by Pastor Alfred D. Watts. What began as a small distribution center providing food and emergency resources has grown into a vital support system for families across Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Since then, we’ve served over 5,000 families, offering not just food but a pathway to stability.

In 2016, we officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, expanding our reach and programs to better serve the community. As the outreach arm of Cornerstone Christian Center, we remain rooted in faith, driven by compassion, and committed to meeting basic human needs.

At The Storehouse Project, we believe in dignity, kindness, and support for all, no matter their background or circumstances. Our doors are open to everyone, and we are grateful for the generosity that allows us to continue this work.

Our Partners In Produce
We could not do this work alone. We are so grateful for all of the partners we have been blessed to work with to improve the lives of individuals and families in our community.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10
