ABOUT US
How It Began
The Storehouse Project began in 2000 with the Peret Food Pantry, founded by Pastor Alfred D. Watts to meet a simple but urgent need. What started as a small food distribution effort has grown into a trusted source of support for families across Fairfield and New Haven Counties.
Today, we serve thousands of individuals each year, providing not only food but connection, dignity, and a pathway toward stability. In 2016, we became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, expanding our reach and deepening our impact as the outreach arm of Cornerstone Christian Center.
At our core, we exist to help people help others. Every act of generosity—whether giving, serving, or partnering—directly fuels this work and expands our ability to reach more families in need.
